Savannah has loved working with kids for as long as she can remember and knew she wanted to be a teacher back in elementary school, thanks to the amazing teachers who inspired her. She’s excited to watch her students grow throughout the year and looks forward to learning just as much from them as they will from her!

Cortney was inspired by her fourth grade teacher—someone who truly saw her and made her feel valued. That experience shaped her approach to teaching and fuels her passion for meeting students where they are. She’s excited to get to know her students, learn their stories, and create a fun, safe space where everyone can grow and learn together.

Meet Tanya Malik, Kindergarten Teacher at David W. Long Elementary!
Tanya was inspired to become a teacher by her grandmothers, who shared a deep love for learning and always encouraged her to follow her dreams. Their support shaped her passion for education, and now she’s excited to pass that love of learning on to her students. Candace Haliburton is a new addition to the Etiwanda teaching team and will be teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies at Etiwanda Intermediate. She was inspired by her own second grade teacher, Mrs. Garrigues, and is now ready to make an impact in her own classroom. She’s most excited to build meaningful relationships with her students and support them as they work toward their personal and academic goals.

Summit Intermediate is full of everyday heroes. The STARS students keep the coffee flowing at their Starsbucks shop, making sure teachers get their caffeine fix. Carla McCall brings positivity to the campus and builds strong connections with students and staff. Mr. Jim, a dedicated proctor, is known for taking time to connect with students and offer thoughtful guidance. Samantha is a reliable and supportive team member during Student Study Teams, and Dominic, Summit’s hardworking custodian, keeps the campus looking great while spreading positivity.

Big news from Falcon Ridge! Two of their robotics teams are tied for first place after Day 1 at the WRO National Robotics Competition. With top teams from across the country competing at the Ontario Convention Center, Falcon Ridge is proud and excited to cheer on their students as they head into the final day of competition.
