Jeannie Tavolazzi is giving a High Five today to the amazing District Spelling Bee Team. Led by Nick Z., and supported by Steven P., Cassie I., Sylvia F., Liza C., Katie T., and Rich H., this team gave their time, energy, and heart to make the event special for students. Their efforts created a positive and memorable experience that celebrated student achievement. The district is grateful for their dedication and the way they show up for students.

A High Five is going out to Connie Lee, PTA Reflections Chair, and the Grizzlies who participated in this year’s Reflections program themed “I Belong.” With Connie’s leadership, students explored what belonging means through art, writing, and music. The Reflections Award Ceremony highlighted how the arts help students find their voice, build confidence, and feel connected to their school community.
Each submission reflected creativity and heartfelt stories, and the Grizzlies made their school proud.

So many great things have been happening across our Etiwanda schools this week. Is there a student, staff member, or volunteer who deserves a High Five? We would love to celebrate them. Email a photo and a short description to dosocialmedia@etiwanda.org by 9 a.m. Friday, and the district will feature them on social media to share the celebration with our community. Let’s keep shining a light on the people who make our schools special.

Too fun not to share! Etiwanda Colony’s second graders celebrated 102 days of learning by dressing up as Dalmatians, and their smiles said it all. From spotted shirts to wagging “tails,” students had a blast marking this milestone and showing that learning can be both exciting and meaningful.

With more students riding e-bikes to and from school, safety continues to be a top priority.
Students are reminded to wear a helmet every time they ride, follow traffic laws, use bike lanes when available, and be mindful of cars, pedestrians, and other riders. Riding responsibly helps keep everyone safe on the way to and from school.
Families and students can find tips, expectations, and important safety information by visiting the district’s E-Bike & Scooter Safety: A Guide for Students & Families page. Working together, we can help ensure every student arrives safely and ready to learn.

Mrs. Schauer’s kindergarteners at East Heritage had so much fun celebrating 100 days of learning. From building with 100 items to counting their way through the day and dressing up as what they think 100 years old looks like, the students made it a day full of creativity, laughs, and learning.
