student eating school lunch

Lunch Information for the 2022 - 2023 School Year:

As a partner in education, the Etiwanda School District Child Nutrition Department participates in the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program.  Meals served to students meet or exceed all USDA nutrition standards.

Healthy breakfasts and lunches are available every school day to TK - 8th grade students attending Etiwanda School District classes.  Milk and water are available a la carte at a cash cost of fifty cents.

Meals are free of charge to all ESD students under the California Universal Meals Program.

Important Note Regarding Menu Changes:

Please note: ongoing food and paper goods supply chain issues are creating shortages that will cause menu changes with little or no advance notice. Meals served on a given day may not exactly reflect what is shown on our planned/posted menus. All businesses in the food industry are facing similar issues due to effects from the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Local School Wellness Policy

As a Local education agency that participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), Etiwanda School District has developed and implemented a Local School Wellness Policy (LSWP) in accordance with the framework and guidelines set out in the Final Rule: Local School Wellness Policy Implementation Under the HHFKA of 2010

The LSWP is an important tool for our district and community in promoting student wellness, preventing and reducing childhood obesity, and helping to ensure school food nutrition guidelines meet the minimum federal standards.

The policy is developed by the District Wellness Committee which includes teachers, parents, administrators, and district staff, including health services and the Child Nutrition department.  To find out how you can participate in the continuous refinement of the LSWP, please visit the District's wellness page here
