Welcome to this 2023-2024 school year!

I am Mrs. Rivas and I am looking forward to building a welcoming and supportive class with each one of you.

My name is Teresa Rivas and I have been teaching for twenty-three years. This is my nineteenth year teaching at Etiwanda Intermediate. I can fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish. I earned a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Fullerton, a Master's degree in Education from Walden University, and hold a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have been a cheer coach and a drill team advisor. I currently am the ASB advisor here at EIS. This is my fifteenth year teaching ASB.

My family consists of five wonderful children and two fur babies. My oldest daughter graduated from Cal Poly Pomona and works in fashion marketing. My son is a junior in college and also working as a real estate agent. My youngest daughter is a senior at Rancho Cucamonga High School. My husband and I married two years ago and from this marriage, I gained two bonus sons. The oldest of the two works for HVAC and the youngest works for Nike. And finally, there are my fur babies, Nala and Toby.

Family is everything to me and I enjoy spending time with them. Mini-vacations or game/movie nights are our favorites. I am blessed and grateful for how close we are.
