Renee Macias

Hello and Welcome to my class!

I have been with the Etiwanda School District for twenty-seven years.  I have had experience teaching all grades K-8th.  I started out as an instructional aide with the district.  I helped to maintain the ELL program for two of the elementary schools and one of the middle schools in our district.  During my instructional aide year, I achieved my BA in Liberal Studies at Cal State San Bernardino and finished my clear credential courses through Chapman University.  I also have my Master of Arts in Education Degree through Brandman University.  The district then hired me in 1997 to teach full-time at East Heritage Elementary School.  I have since spent seven years at East Heritage Elementary, and the rest of my teaching years at Etiwanda Colony Elementary.

I have been married for twenty-seven years.  My husband and I have two children.  A daughter, Madeline, that substitute teaches for the Etiwanda School District, and a son, Joshua, who is currently a United States Marine.  We also have three dogs, Bender, Kisses, and Estrella that we enjoy as part of our family.  My hobbies include traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family.

I look forward to working with your children and having a successful year!
