Mrs. Clark

I am pleased to introduce myself as your child’s teacher for TK. I was born and raised in California.  In fact, I was born and raised right here in Etiwanda.  I attended Summit Elementary, when it was an elementary and only grades K-4th.  I attended Etiwanda Intermediate when it held 5th-8th grade at the school and only had 15 classrooms.  I was the first freshman class at Etiwanda High School and graduated from there.  So, you can call me a full on Etiwandian.

I graduated from Chaffey Community College then went on and finished my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from the California State University of San Bernardino.  I finished my teaching credential at Chapman University and finished my TK certificate class in December of 2019.

My reasons for entering the teaching profession stem from a life long dream of wanting to be a teacher and the love of children.  Working with children has been a very fulfilling and rewarding experience for me.  I taught for six years in the High Desert and this is my twenty-fourth year here in the Etiwanda School District: fifteen years teaching 1st grade, one year kindergarten and this my seventh year teaching TK.  I am looking forward to an exciting, enriching year for all of us, and pleased to be your child’s teacher

TK Orientation
Friday, August 2nd at 11:00 am, we will be having our TK Orientation. This is a day for your child to come and meet their teacher, see their classroom, enjoy some activities with their teacher, and meet some of their new friends. For parents, it's time to meet the teacher and the principal. We look forward to meeting all our new cubs that day.

Back to School Night
Thursday, August 8th beginning at 5:15 in the MPR will be our Back to School Night. After a short meeting with our principal, Mrs. Hackman, teachers will meet with you in your child's room. There will be 2 sessions: 5:30 and 6:20. You may choose which session you want to attend. This is an evening for parents to come to learn about the school, classroom, and ask questions. This is a night recommended for parents only.

PTA
Join the PTA. At Back to School Night you will receive a QR code to pay for membership. Joining the PTA does not require you to go to meetings. Part of the fees goes to the school to help with school field trips, school wide assemblies, and school supplies.

PTA Family Dine-Out Nights
Each month, PTA sponsors a Dine-Out Night. It could be anything of from Crumble Cookies to Fast Food to a nice sit-down restaurant. A percentage will be given back to the school. This is a great fundraiser to contribute to the school...and you get a night off of cooking.

PTA Fundraisers
We will have two fundraisers this year. One will be in the Fall (September), and the other will be in the Spring (March). Look for the information to come home for both those fundraisers. Again, these fundraisers help with school field trips, school wide assemblies, and school supplies.

Homework Assignments

Social Emotional Development

The biggest part of TK is Social and Emotional Development. Throughout the year we will be learning skills to help our development in these areas. Below is a link that will have a description of the areas of social and emotional development that your child will be working on throughout the school year.  These are the goals that your child is trying to achieve by the end of the school year. Activities from your Homework Choice Boards will help you support your child’s learning and practicing these skills. Social and Emotional Development
