Madeleine Connor (60% Monday-Wednesday)

My name is Madeleine (Maddie) Connor. This is my eleventh year of teaching and seventh year of teaching third at Caryn Elementary. I have previously taught K, K-1, & 1st, but third grade has my heart!

I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, and a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential. I recently graduated with my Master’s program at USC for Instructional Design & Technology in 2021.

My husband, Jarred and I have been married for five years. We got married in Maui in 2018 with our closest friends and family. We were blessed to welcome our son, Jackson in June 2022 to the world. He keeps us very busy and active! We enjoy going to the river in AZ where we have a boat and vacation home where we love to relax!

Some of my values as an educator aim to promote equity and a classroom community for all students to cultivate a safe classroom for all learners. I am passionate about integrating technology into the curriculum while balancing and maintaining the purpose of each lesson.

Camille Wong (40% Thursday-Friday)

My name is Camille Wong. I previously taught first grade but decided to step away from teaching in order to be a full-time mom to my children, Sophia (14), Elizabeth (12), and Christopher (10). All three of my children have gone to Caryn, so I started at Caryn as a parent. This is my tenth year as a parent in the district and my fourth year as an employee. I am so excited to return to teaching this year!

I received my bachelor's degree in English Literature from UC Santa Barbara.  I went on to get my multiple subject teaching credential from California State University, San Bernardino.

My husband, James, and I have been married for 17 years.  We have 3 amazing kids and one wild pup named Lucy.  We love traveling together and often take road trips to explore new places.  Our goal is to visit a new state every year.

I have a passion for teaching children and have known from a young age that I wanted to be an educator.  I aim to build a sense of community and ownership in the classroom and help make every student feel welcome.  I hope to engage all students in meaningful lessons while instilling a lifelong love of learning.
