Hello! My name is Mr. Ryan Brace, and allow me to welcome you to the 8th Grade.

At Heritage Intermediate, I teach 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies, as well as the Career and College Exploratory Class. I do my best to create a fun and positive classroom climate while fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.

I am a life-long learner. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching degree and Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at Brandman University.

Aside from teaching and learning, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, watching movies and reading.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have throughout the school year.

Here's to a great year!

Upcoming Events

Hello Hawks!

It’s that time of year again! It’s time for FAMILY CONFERENCES!

During the week of Monday, 09/25, through Friday, 09/29, we will be on Minimum Day schedule, and Ms. Seoane and Mr. Brace will be meeting with families that Monday through Thursday to discuss student progress.

8th grade conferences are STUDENT LED, meaning students will be filling out a "Student Led Conference" worksheet in advance and informing families of their grades, iReady scores, and reflecting on work habits, behavior, and anything else that may be on their mind. This is also a good time for families to ask questions, too.

Ms. Seoane and Mr. Brace would like students to bring their Binder Reminder (Student Planner) to the conference, as well. This will help illustrate students’ organization, communication, and weekly goals/progress.

Click on the link to access our 2023 Family-Teacher Conferences SignUpGenius schedule, and sign up for the time which works best for you.

This year, we are offering in-person meetings. Monday and Tuesday conferences will be held in Room F2, while Wednesday and Thursday conferences will be held in the MPR. Please review the available timeslots and click on the button to sign up.

When you sign up, please make sure to include your student's name. Adding your phone number is optional. Feel free to email Ms. Seoane or Mr. Brace if you are having a difficult time signing up for a timeslot.

*** It is not required to sign up for a conference, if you don't feel it is necessary. Please let us know, and  Ms. Seoane and/or Mr. Brace can send you a summary of your student’s progress via email. Any information shared can also be found via AERIES and iReady.

We look forward to meeting with you in the coming weeks!

Thank you and Best,

Ms. Seoane and Mr. Brace
