Welcome to Fourth Grade

My name is Michelle Trejo. I have been teaching for 20 years at East Heritage Elementary School. This is my 3rd year teaching fourth grade. Previously, I taught third grade for nine years and first grade for eight years.

I am married with three children. I have a married son who graduated from UC Irvine. He is a middle school science teacher. My other son graduated from Cal State Fullerton. He is a mechanical engineer for Boeing. Also, my daughter attends UC Davis. We have a cat named Isabel. She is a spoiled little princess.

I have lived in Etiwanda all my life. I have seen Etiwanda slowly change from a rural community to what it has become now. I attended Summit Elementary School (now changed to a Junior High) from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Then I went from Etiwanda Intermediate School to Etiwanda High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Human Development, Child Development with a Minor in Psychology from Cal State San Bernardino on June 2002. Then, I received my Multiple Subject Clear Teaching Credential from Cal State San Bernardino on June 2003. Finally, I completed my Master's Degree in Reading & Literacy, Grades K-6 from an online degree program at Marygrove College on August 2008.

I plan to continued to be a life-long learner through professional educational courses in technology and literacy. I am glad to be part of a wonderful staff at East Heritage.
