Welcome!

Hello, I am so excited to be your child’s 5th Grade Math and Science teacher this year!

This is such an exciting and important year as we prepare our students for the transition to middle school. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and confident as they learn and grow. I can’t wait to get to know your children and watch them grow throughout the year!

Education

I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies from the University of La Verne. I then earned my California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and my M.A. in Teaching and Learning from the University of Redlands.

A Little More About Me...

I have been happily married to my husband, Carlos, for 30 years. We have three daughters—Krystle, Emily, and Carlie—and three beautiful grandchildren: Ellie, Johnny, and Jameson.

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family and getting lost in a great book.

I am looking forward to an amazing school year filled with learning, growth, and lots of fun! I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful things your children will accomplish this year. Here’s to a fantastic 5th-grade year!

* If you notice that your child regularly has an excessive amount of homework, this could be an indicator that they are not using their in-class time wisely.

Communication

I believe that it is very important to have open communication between parents, students, and the teacher. If you would like to communicate with me, please use "Rooms" or email. I will provide all Information to parents and students via Google Classroom, Rooms, and my teacher website.

To access the class Google Classroom, please make sure your child is logged into their school email by adding @etiwanda.org to their username.

For parent-to-teacher communication, please reach out to me through Rooms or email Judy_Gonzalez@etiwanda.org. (The Rooms feature of the Etiwanda app is our preferred method of communication)
