Mr. Evans

Welcome to 7th grade!

After 15 years of teaching students in 4th and 5th grade, I decided to take the middle school plunge when my oldest daughter moved up to Day Creek. Although my daughters (both of whom had me as their seventh grade English teacher!) have moved on from Day Creek, I'm here and still very happy to be teaching with the DCIS seventh grade team!

At home, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughters. I also play, collect, and restore classic arcade machines (still looking for my first pinball machine!). However, I've been doing this a lot less frequently lately, as my wife made the mistake of introducing me to record collecting. I've also been spending more and more time recently out on the lake or the ocean on my paddleboard. It's probably fair to say that I need to get interested in a cheaper hobby.

able to do this on google.com in the top right corner.

What If I'm Absent?

Going to be absent? Please do the following:

  1. E-mail your teachers to let them know you will be out.

  2. Remember, you are responsible for BOTH classwork and homework, so please contact both teachers

  3. You have as many days to make up absent work as you were absent. Absent two days? Your work can be turned in for full credit within two days after your return.

Much of your work is assigned online.  If you are home and able to do so, check Google classroom for work I have assigned.  When you return to school, check the colorful folders hanging on the back wall for any hand-outs you might have missed.
