Get to Know Your Teachers

Mrs. Bezi

I went through the Etiwanda School District as a student. My family and I have lived locally since 1979. After graduating high school I attended California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) for my undergraduate work. In 1999, I earned my Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Kinesiology. After completing my BA, I was hired by the Etiwanda School District to teach at the middle school level. While teaching, I continued my education by earning my clear teaching credential followed by my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology in 2005. I have been teaching in the Etiwanda School District at various levels and at various schools since 1999 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I guess it's fair to say, time flies when you're having fun! I have been teaching Eighth Grade at DCIS  for over 17 years now! I love getting to know each and every one of our students and I truly look forward to an engaging, successful and memory-filled year for all of us!

My wonderful husband and I have been happily married for over 20 years now. We have a two children, Natalee and Andrew. Natalee will be 18 this year and just graduated from Rancho Cucamonga High School. She started her first "real" job this summer and in the fall, she will attend CBU in Riverside studying under the Health Sciences major. Drew is going to be a sophomore in high school and seems to be very engineer minded, as he loves machining parts for go karts and trucks while working with all sorts of tools in the garage! Our children have truly been the greatest blessings of our life!

In our free time my family and I really enjoy going to the river, camping and watching live music!!  I'm a country music fan!! We also enjoy going to Angels games, watching NHRA drag racing, working on our home, and eating! We love eating out! In fact someday, you may run into us at Chick-Fil-A or Longhorn Steakhouse, so be sure to say hi if you see me!

Every once in a while I get to do some crafting, so I enjoy making things on my Cricut or wandering around Target, Costco or Home Goods looking for housewares and goodies.

Now that you know all about me, I can't wait to get to know more about each and every one of you! My students are like an extension of my own family! I just love every single one of you for your uniqueness and individuality! Let's learn a ton this year and have fun while we're doin' it!

Loving what I do,
Mrs. Bezi

Mrs. Bezi's Family

Mrs. Chaiyarachta

My family came to Rancho Cucamonga way back in 1974! I went through the Central School District (Central Elementary and Cucamonga Middle) and finished at Alta Loma High School in 1988. I then went to California State University, San Bernardino for my Bachelor in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Business Administration/Marketing. During my college career, I lived and travelled throughout most of Europe. After graduating, I was hired on as a Special Events Coordinator and Sales Representative for the Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau. In this position I was a key player in bringing the Mills Mall to Ontario, expansion on the Ontario International Airport, design and planning team for the Ontario Convention Center, and organized the California State Games for children wishing to be a future USA Olympian. Upon leaving the Bureau, I worked for a meeting and planning corporation in Orange County where I planned conventions for national and international associations.

Although being a marketer was very exciting and allowed me to visit places all over the world, I felt that I was missing something in my heart. I started substitute teaching for the Etiwanda School District and loved it! I went back to school and received my credential through Chapman University. I was hired at C.P. Lightfoot Elementary and taught Kindergarten through 5th grade. After the birth of my daughter, Emily, in 2007 I was given the wonderful opportunity to work with Mrs. Bezi in 8th Grade at DCIS! I am very thankful to be working with such an amazing partner, staff, and caring, supportive families!

In my family's free time, we enjoy having fun at Disneyland, visiting California's Central Coast, eating sushi, going to BTS concerts, traveling, visiting museums, spending time with friends and family, and taking long walks through our oak tree lined neighborhood. Emily and I like to bake, craft, watch BBC, wander through Barnes & Noble, and read. Emily is starting her Sophomore year and loves to learn about history and art. She is also in her black belt series for TaeKwonDo. My husband, Chuck, enjoys mountain biking, The Avengers, and anything to do with cars!

I love getting to know each and every one of our students and learning what their passions are. I truly look forward to a successful, meaningful, and joyful year for all of us!

With a grateful heart,

Mrs. Chaiyarachta (Mrs. Chai :-)
