Recovery & Resilience Summer Learning

Etiwanda School District is excited to announce an
interactive summer learning experience for students
currently in grades K-7.  Students will have the opportunity to enroll in a 10-day academic enrichment program or if identified, a 10-day academic resilience and recovery program focused on areas of need.

The in-person summer learning program is scheduled from: 

Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 23 from 8:00 - 11:30 AM.    

Participation in the program is limited due to space availability. 

Current local health and safety guidelines will be implemented,
including
requirements to wear a face mask and maintain
appropriate social distancing.

Two summer learning program options 

> Open to all students

Smart Start is an academic enrichment open to all students and centered on literacy and math activities that support students rising to the next grade level.  Additional activities in other subject areas aimed at engaging students in discussion and collaboration.

Invitation to:  All students currently in grades K-7

Rising Stars is an in-person summer learning program focused on supporting students entering grades 1-2 with fun and engaging activities that build literacy and math confidence for academic success. 

Invitation to: Kindergarten and first grade students identified through i-Ready as needing literacy support prior to the school year.

Max Progress is an in-person summer learning program focused on helping students in fun and engaging ways to develop language skills and confidence for academic success. 

Invitation to: Newcomer and long-term English Learner students

SOAR an in-person summer learning program offering students in selected special education programs an opportunity to participate in engaging learning activities in the areas of intensive reading and math support.- 

Invitation to:  Special Education (SDC)  Mild/Mod and Mod/Severe programs
